Lindsay’s Boulder Deli and Organic Sandwich Company Team Up with Local Chefs for a Friendly East Pearl vs. West Pearl Sandwich Competition to Benefit Local Charities

The Sandwich Ladies of Boulder – a duo of passionate, local entrepreneurs – are launching an exciting new competition designed to raise funds for two fantastic Boulder nonprofits.

Beginning Friday, March 7th, Lindsay’s Boulder Deli and Organic Sandwich Company will go head-to-head in a sandwich face off, offering special sandwiches created in collaboration with local chefs. Proceeds will benefit The Museum of Boulder and Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF).

The friendly competition is the result of a conversation between Lindsay’s Boulder Deli owner Lindsay Shaw, and Organic Sandwich Company owner Marcy Miller. The duo created a fun way to engage the community, fundraise, and improve business. By partnering with fellow local restaurants High Country and River and Woods , the “Sandwich Ladies” will support the local arts by donating 25% of sales from the specialty sandwiches to benefit The Museum of Boulder and the Boulder International Film Festival.

Bison Pastrami sandwich - Enjoy chef-crafted subs while supporting Boulder nonprofits—one bite at a time.

Lindsay’s Boulder Deli is offering a homemade Meatball Sub, crafted in collaboration with Chef Brian Pierce from High Country (and sister restaurant Gemini). The sandwich features homemade beef and pork meatballs paired with a tangy homemade marinara sauce, fresh mozzarella, provolone cheese, and locally-baked bread.

Meanwhile, River and Wood’s Chef, Kevin Grossi, collaborated with Organic Sandwich Co. to create the BIFFwich: a Bison Pastrami Sandwich showcasing locally-raised bison pastrami, locally-made ginger turmeric sauerkraut, white cheddar, and horseradish aioli, grilled on freshly baked French country bread.

“Being a business owner in Downtown Boulder comes with community and camaraderie - I love that we can create our own fun ideas and competitions to engage our town and support locally-based nonprofits” said Marcy.  Lindsay shared “I love my fellow business owners as we have supported each other through thick and thin and we always manage to lend a helping hand when needed.”

This month-long event encourages the community to get involved, support local businesses, and make a difference. Whether you’re on East Pearl or West Pearl, you’ll be raising funds for The Museum of Boulder’s educational programs or BIFF’s commitment to supporting the art of film.
